The Association for Image Processing announces the biennial   C O N T E S T   for the best Ph.D. thesis defended at Polish scientific institutions, in the scope of widely understood communication between the computer and its ambience by means of images, and the application of information systems for processing, analysis and interpretation of images and scenes, object recognition, modelling, generation and visualisation of objects and scenes, perception and visual communication.

The Contest concerns Ph.D. theses defended at Polish institutions. Therefore, the detailed information is in Polish.

^* NOTE   Starting from the year 2006 the contest is organised biennially. Therefore, the present contest comprises the theses for which the Ph.D. title will have been conferred in 2008 and 2009, and the results will be announced in 2010. This should stimulate the competition and will make it possible to double the financial value of the prize.
